Rick "the greatest beard-wearer in the industry" Rubin recently had a chat with Radio 1's Zane Lowe about the making of Yeezus, but ended up "leaking" information about its follow-up. What a naughty chap.

His thoughts on Yeezus have already been well-documented, but it was interesting hearing him go into further detail: "He originally came over and said 'I wanna come play you my new album' and I thought we'd be listening to a finished album. Then we listened to about three hours of music, most of which didn't have vocals, and at the end I was like 'wow, so what's it gonna be?'" However, the main takeaway was West's return to the studio: "Kanye West is coming in and we're starting looking at vocal ideas for things for the next album."

He also had a bit of time to get all emotional: "I love him, I think he's a great guy, super smart and from a creative standpoint, I can't think of anyone who has been more consistently great from the time they started making music until now. I can't think of anyone else, I think he's the most consistently great creative person in music today."

The first part of the interview is set to be aired tonight (June 16th) on BBC Radio 1.
