In case you didn't know, back in 2015 Rihanna turned down Major Lazer's hit 'Lean On' (whose vocals eventually went to Danish singer MØ). Diplo didn't give up, however, as he tried to get her to do a collab during a session with Future: "Future played her, like, 700 songs. It was four in the morning. Finally, I was like, 'Yo, G, I’m leaving unless you let me play her a song'" Diplo recalls. "So I played her a song. And she was like, 'This sounds like a reggae song at an airport.' [laughs] I was like, 'I'm gonna kill myself.'"

Rihanna recently addressed the tête-à-tête in an Instagram post, commenting "#DutyFree 😂😂😂 My bad @diplo," with the producer replying "We gonna get one tho." Although she's currently focusing on her acting career, Rihanna recently guested on DJ Khaled's single 'Wild Thoughts', which came out in June.
