It's possible to be the baddest in the game and still be the humanitarian of the year. Get you a girl who can do both. Get you a girl like Rihanna. Everyone's favourite bad gal will be celebrated by Harvard University next week at a celebration honouring Rihanna's humanitarian work.

Her charitable work consists of founding a center for oncology and breast cancer treatment in Barbados, as well as her work with the Global Partnership for Education and Global Citizen Project. She also founded the Clara and Lionel Foundation Scholarship Program, which supports students attending U.S. colleges from Caribbean countries.

Rih now joins the list of Harvard Humanitarian of the Year recipients like Kofi Annan, Ban-ki Moon, and James Earl Jones.

We'd also like to point you in the direction of this ridiculously wonderful song from Ohyeahsumi, and this piece on loneliness and showing sympathy beyond consumption.
