Glows is the nom-de-plume of 21-year-old London producer and promoter GG Skips, who has been a prominent figure in the South London scene for a little while, putting on early shows by artists such as Sorry, Goat Girl, Sunken, Black Midi and Jerkcurb under his promotion umbrella Slow Dance. But now, having already snuck out a couple of tracks under his own name, he has morphed into Glows and shared his first official song and video, 'PERLA'.

In 'PERLA', Glows sets things moving with a four-on-the-floor beat, but incorporates other layers that ooze and sparkle around this rigorous core. Throughout the track, Glows stops and starts that central rhythm, spiking the momentum while enriching the atmosphere with wavy undertones, translucent synths and softly sung vocals. The resulting picture is like an aural impressionist's vision of London heading into dusk, with the potential of a big night ahead.

Glows has also created a video for 'PERLA' in collaboration with Kit Whalley-Payne; a surreal and glitchy trip from Tokyo to London which emphasises the track's incessant forward motion and busy atmosphere. Check it out below.

Glows will be performing at Bermondsey Social Club on November 8th. Follow him on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
