Before the band plays its native country's Iceland Airwaves Festival this November (in which The 405 will be hosting its own stage, featuring Adult Jazz, Tomas Barford, and more), Reykjavík band Rökkurró will release their sophomore LP Innra.

It'll be the band's first proper follow-up to the celebrated Í Annan Heim, which managed to stay in Iceland's Top 30 chart for a massive 100 weeks and earn plenty of high praise across Europe and the U.S. Expanding its own efforts, Rökkurró added a new pianist and bassist since the debuts release, which in turn inspired Innra to be a part-English spoken effort. New producer Helgi Hrafn Jónsson came in for help, earning high praise from band member Stefánsdóttir in particular. "His ideas are fresh and we liked the fact that he chooses the artists he works with very carefully," they said. "We found out very soon that we shared a common vision for this project and that is really important."

The band previously teased their newfound English influence last October with 'Killing Time'. It highlighted the slightly new sound Stefánsdóttir notes, saying, "Our new sound has a few obvious changes. We have added more electronic elements. I have taken a break from the cello and have replaced it with a synthesizer." Nearly a year later the band brought out a few more pieces from the record, including a video for another English-spoken track 'The Backbone' and last month's 'Blue Skies'. All three aforementioned tracks can be listened to below.

Innra will see release October 27th on the band's own label Rökkurró Music, with digital pre-orders available on iTunes and CD orders on Amazon. The band will also be performing a select few tour dates, including two performances at the aforementioned Iceland Airwaves Festival November 6th and 9th.
