In the last couple of years Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have released two of the best and most rewarding EPs in the form of Talk Tight in 2016 and The French Press in 2017. They don't appear to be slowing down at all though, as today sees them put out a brand new single entitled 'Mainland'.

'Mainland' picks up with their usual rip-raoring gait, tumbling ever forwards on propulsive guitars and bass, while maintaining a relaxed, surfer attitude. The song starts with one of RBCF's signature moves lyrically; recounting a conversation: "I said "I'm just a servant to my base desires"/ She said "I'll tell you a few things free of charge..."." To find out what those things are, you'll have to dip your toe into the aural whirlpool that is 'Mainland' and let it sweep you away into a reverie of gorgeous island imagery. The song was inspired by singer Tom Russo's trip to the Aeolian Islands off Sicily, where his ancestors had lived.

Step into the beutiful breeze that is 'Mainland' below.

No news as yet as to whether this is from an album or another EP, but knowing their productivity, there will be news on that front soon. In the meantime get your tickets for Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever's upcoming UK and EU tour dates - details here.
