Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever will release their debut album Hope Downs next Friday June 15th on Sub Pop. They've been distributing a trail of delicious breadcrumbs in the lead up, with 'Mainland', 'Talking Straight' and 'An Air Conditioned Man', followed by a riotous European tour over the last couple of weeks. They're not done getting people pumped for the album yet though, as today they release 'The Hammer'.

Set to be the closing track on Hope Downs, 'The Hammer' has a slightly more downbeat key to it than the majority of RBCF's songs, but it turns out bittersweet is another mode in which the Australian band seems to shine. Bringing the gears to a halt on their glorious sunshine melodies, 'The Hammer' is the perfect final apertif before we get to hear Hope Downs in its entirety next week. Check it out below.
