Any record collector can tell you that for new vinyl releases, Rough Trade is pretty much the Mecca - especially their flagship Rough Trade East store in Brick Lane. With vinyl sales steadily making a comeback, it's no longer such a risky business to open a brick-and-mortar establishment to sell them - especially if you're a recognised name like Rough Trade.

Rise Records in Bristol was already an established store, but now it will be enfolded into the Rough Trade family, making it their fourth store in the UK and fifth worldwide (there's one in New York). Some fans of the independent store Rise might be saddened to see it go, but the owners of the store seem more than excited about the new opportunity, as evidenced by their Instagram post seen below.
