Scottish producer Rustie creates titanic beats in his latest track 'Attak'. Featuring the emphatic vocals of Detroit rapper Danny Brown, for whom Rustie has previously lent out his production talent (namely his 2013 album, Old), the track goes in and goes hard: it's laser-cut with cosmic flute melodies, cracked and crumbled by raging sub kicks, rained upon with shattering of snare and hi-hat. Thin-whisper orchestra-hits move between just three notes, but in their simplicity - especially in the context of Brown's complex and varied rap, and the body-shaking beat - they are the hooks, what's left in my brain half-an-hour after hearing this hulk of a track.

This comes from Rustie's upcoming album Green Language, out next month on Warp Records. (Pre-order it here).
