The Glasgow-based band Sacred Paws have announced their second album: it's called Run Around the Sun and comes out through Rock Action on May 31st (Merge in the US). The playful pair have offered up a new song from the album called 'The Conversation', which is exactly as it says: a trade off in lines between Rachel Aggs and Eilidh Rodgers.

Although, it's more of an argument than a conversation, which gives the frenetic track a frisson of electricity that runs between the two. Now that the argument in question is in the past, they can smile as they sing; while the pain of what's come previous can be heard in the lyricism, but the joy of their friendship overrides it and comes resounding out in the propulsive percussion and jangling guitar - topped off by their perfectly interwoven vocal harmonies. It's a snapshot of a true friendship, with a love that's infectious as it gets.

Sacred Paws' new album Run Around the Sun is out May 31st on Rock Action.
