Fast-rising Tyneside musician Sam Fender has returned with new music in the form of the harrowing ‘Dead Boys’. Less frustrated than previous work, Fender instead uses his powerful vocal to elevate the sorrow in his songwriting and the emotive weight of this song’s painful subject. Propelled by howling, reverberated guitar and booming percussion, the track reaches crescendo in unison with Sam’s shrieked cries of “NOBODY COULD EXPLAIN ALL THE DEAD BOYS IN OUR HOMETOWN.”

Speaking on the track’s heavy subject matter, Sam states - "Dead Boys is a song about male suicide, it's a song I wrote after losing some people close to me. The lyrics talk of my hometown but this is a global problem and after playing the track at festivals all summer and chatting with fans with similar stories, it's heart wrenching learning the scale of it. If this track helps one person open up then it's the best thing I could hope for.”

After recently signing to Polydor, Sam has announced a lengthy UK for later this year including two dates at London’s Omeara. A full list of dates and tickets are available at his official website.
