LA-based electro-pop duo Smoke Season would rather ask for forgiveness than for permission. This maxim applies broadly across the couple’s lives but reverberates loudest in their quintessential summer jam, 'Sweetest Thing', which came out last week.

'Sweetest Thing' is about the initial, undeniable tug of attraction to a new crush. As ones who practice polyamory, it should come as no surprise that Smoke Season believes in chasing those feelings rather than letting them stagnate, or worse–allowing them to become a tragic missed opportunity. A bouncy groove guides us into their bubble of infatuation, with encouragement to test limits before creating boundaries. The golds and reds in their artwork glow as if part of a brilliant California sunset, readying fans for a bash that is sure to last until morning. Expect a debut full-length record from the band soon.
