After having seen the release of his album Oxymoron delayed due to sample clearance issues, Schoolboy Q has now unveiled a new track, 'Man Of The Year', (first heard on the director's cut version of Kendrick Lamar's video for 'Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe') which is set to appear on the soundtrack of basketball game NBA Live '14.

The release of the track follows a fuss between Top Dawg Entertainment boss Anthony Tiffith and GQ magazine, which named Kendrick as its 'Man of the Year' and is currently being criticized by Tiffith for the "racial overtones" of the magazine's cover story. TDE boss says GQ "was more focused on what most people would see as drama or bs," promptly cancelling Kendrick's performance at GQ's annual Man Of The Year party.

On the other hand, GQ editor-in-chief Jim Nelson revealed he was "mystified and sorely disappointed by Top Dawg's decision to pull him at the last minute from the performance he had promised to give," calling the article "incredibly positive." Aaaaand enter SchoolBoy Q with his amazing timing.

There you go ladies and gentlemen, here's your 'Man of the Year'. Listen below. [via FACT]
