Neurosis co-founder Scott Kelly announces a December tour with Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, Old Man Gloom) as both showcase material from their solo projects (which doesn't happen very often) around the country. Here's what Kelly had to say about the tour: "I am honored to have the opportunity to apply my trade as a solo artist and songwriter in the UK where some of the deepest folk influences and traditions have come from over the years. A proper tour has been a long time coming. I will be doing primarily songs off of both my solo records, as well Blood and Time and some new material, but I will also bring some cover material along for added weight and perspective. It will be a pleasure to share the bill, the stage, and a car with my friend Steve Brodsky. I believe his work and his legacy speaks for itself. Together I feel we bring all of us up to a new level of reasoning and psychic creativity. I look forward to seeing and meeting all of you who choose to join us for these very special and intimate performances." The dates follow a number of UK shows with Kelly's other project, Shrinebuilder, and a rare London appearance with, the band he's possibly best known for, experimental metal titans Neurosis.
