Best known as Lorde's live keyboard player and Ableton Operator, singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ, in his home country of New Zealand Jimmy Mac is recognisable on the local independent music scene for time spent drumming and playing in several local pop, punk and psych bands. This year he's stepped into the spotlight solo with what now counts as two vocal synth-pop singles as Scuba Diva.

Produced by Kody Nielson (aka Silicon, brother of Ruban Nielson of Unknown Mortal Orchestra), his latest single 'Marimba' draws on the energy, feeling and exuberance of the great and innovative traditions of late 70s/early 80s electronica and soft-focus psychedelic pop. As of late, Jimmy has been playing some Scuba Diva DJ sets around New Zealand. In February, he will debut the Scuba Diva live show at the Auckland leg of St Jerome's Laneway Festival.
