Level-5’s Inazuma Eleven soccer games have come under fire and, according to SEGA, are a patent infringement.

According to Kotaku, SEGA is suing Level-5 over the ability to use your finger or a pen to manipulate characters movement on a touchscreen. SEGA have moved to demand all eight Inazuma Eleven games to be removed from sale and a staggering ¥900 million in damages.

Level-5 has not released a statement on the situation to Japanese press at this moment in time, however the publisher has said they intend to fight this case and is currently preparing its rebuttal.
