You may not be familiar with Portugal's Semibreve Festival, but that's ok - you soon will be. The festival, now in its 4th year, is already considered one of the most exciting, forward thinking events for exploratory music and digital arts, and the 2014 line-up is sure to enhance it's burgeoning reputation.

Acts that have featured previously include the likes of Jon Hopkins, Forest Swords, and The Haxan Cloak, names that give you some idea of the calibre of artist attracted to Braga, and 2014 will be no different. Acclaimed Warp musician and producer patten, Modern Love's occult duo Demdike Stare, and Japanese installation artist Ryochi Kurokawa are all confirmed, with more to follow.

The intimate nature of the festival is enhanced by the venue, one of Braga's most renowned and oldest theatres, the spectacular Theatro Circo, whose plush, blood-red interior is a paean to splendour and opulence. It's easy to see why Dazed and Confused were moved to call this one of the most exciting festivals in the world, and with a three day pass costing just €25, broadening ones musical horizons has never been better value.

Semibreve 2014 takes place between the 10th and 12th October, in the city of Braga. Tickets are on sale now.
