Show Me The Body have announced their second album: it's called Dog Whistle and comes out on March 29th via Loma Vista. Commenting on the inspiration and impetus for the album, the band says:

"A lot of people have said to us this is a perfect time to make a Punk record. We are disgusted by this prompt. This album and our music does not belong to a political party. No authority, political movement, or side may claim the function of our music in this society. This album is personal. It is about and for the disenfranchised youth of this city, of this country, and of this earth. It is for our community and anyone who may find shelter within it."

That looming and domineering attitude from the above quote is certainly felt in lead single 'Camp Orchestra' and its video. At first, 'Camp Orchestra' seems like a lo-fi noodle of nothingness, but this is merely the beast that is Show Me The Body slowly rising from their slumber into a world that gives them no ounce of joy. It takes a full 2 minutes of creeping atmospheric rock sounds before the New York band grasps the moment and dives into slashing and pulverising punk, but they take no time in taking the listener by the throat: "you're like a dog without with the teeth." From there SMTB is in blustering mood, muscling their way through a couple of minutes of swirling and pounding action.
