If you've listened to Eminem's album The Marshall Mathers LP 2, you've probably heard his track with Sia, 'Beautiful Pain.' There has been quite a lot of controversy surrounding some of the lyrical content on MMLP2, in particular the homophobic lyrics in 'Rap God.' Sia defines herself as queer and her fanbase criticised her collaboration with Eminem because of the lyrics in 'Rap God', and she issued a response saying:

“I know personally that he is not homophobic, but a performance artist. I would never work with someone I believed to be homophobic. I respect that he can be misinterpreted in the worst way by the ignorami, and that scares me, but I respect him as an artist and person.”

Sia plans to donate the money she earns from 'Beautiful Pain' to the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center, a refuge for homeless LGBTQ youth.
