Like The National before them, Sigur Rós have recorded a version of 'The Rain of Castamere' for the upcoming fourth season of Game of Thrones. The song is one of the most iconic within the Westeros' mythology, and George R.R. Martin's lyrics where brought to life for its TV adaptation by Iranian-German composer Ramin Djawadi.

This announcement comes in addition to last year's news that the Icelandic band's Jón Þór "Jónsi" Birgisson, Georg Hólm and Orri Páll Dýrason are all set to make cameo appearances on the show this season as actors.
