Sigur Rós have unveiled a mysterious trailer for something called 'INNI'. The trailer includes a lot of black and white footage, and some typically stunning music from the band. What it means, we don't know. Considering the vast majority of the footage is of the band playing live, we'll go ahead and assume it's for a live DVD of some description, but it has been quite some time since they've released anything, so you never know.

We'll keep our fingers crossed that it's a new album. We all need that right now.

It appears that the project is a live DVD, which will be aired at the Venice Film Festival under the tagline of 'Suprise Film Event'. It seems to be a Sigur Rós/Vincent Morisset collaboration of footage taken from the band’s shows in London in 2009.

Head over to to keep up-to-date with it all.
