If you're in the mood for something that sounds like it's inspired by sungura music from Zimbabwe, y'know, with rainy, clip-clopping percussion, upbeat bass playing in slow arpeggios along with the syncopated rhythm of a set of fulsome percussion, a procession of vocal harmonies, spacey synth winding through it all as catchy guitars play their silvery tones – if you're in the mood for all that, then you should listen to 'Icarus' by Swiss band Silver Firs. You will not be displeased with the decision. And if you would like to go one step further, I recommend checking out their EP#2, released earlier this month.
