After the mammoth battle of Cosmo Jarvis and The Collectable Few a fortnight ago, last week’s videos lived up to expectation, with Metronomy and ‘She Wants’ eventually running away with 60.99% of the votes following the early support for Clinic’s ‘Bubblegum’. This week there is a very fair spread of videos, from Toro Y Moi to PJ Harvey, and everything in between. Which leaves a lot to play with. First to the afore mentioned Toro Y Moi with latest single ‘Still Sound’, followed by Fenech Soler and ‘Demons’. Personally, I don’t think I like Fenech-Soler much, maybe I just don’t ‘get it’ but I think they’re more than a tad overrated. However, I’m getting distracted and jealous no doubt, so we move next to the fantastic PJ Harvey and the release of the hugely well received ‘The Words That Maketh Murder’. Lovely stuff. We stumble into Young The Giant’s ‘Apartment’ right about now, before ‘Holing Out’ thanks to Yuck before beginning to wrap up with the lovely Gruff Rhys and his ‘Sensations In The Dark’. The honour of wrapping up falls to Visions Of Trees and the optimistically named ‘Sometimes It Kills’. A very strong field this week, and I can’t see a definite winner, so expecting a closely run thing. Get stuck in, and check back next week for a rundown of the winner, and those that have just got left in the dust. I’m looking at you Mike Skinner and your solitary one vote last week. Unfortunate..
