Alongside his principle work as a member of Yeasayer, Ahmed Gallab has found a comforting niche as Sinkane. His debut solo record Mars, released last year, took a journey away from the psychedelic pop pomp of his aforementioned band, instead refining in world-inspired soul sounds.

The Sudan-born Gallab, who's also a former member of Of Montreal and contributed as a drummer for acts like Born Ruffians and Caribou, will follow up Mars with his second solo LP Mean Love. The LP is set for release September 1st via City Slang and DFA in the U.S. - the same labels that distributed his debut record.

The LP's first single 'Hold Tight' follows the glistening soul fusion of Mars, with slightly refined edges and dubious humming keys. Stream it below and check out Sinkane's string of September European tour dates as well.
