Slottsfjell Festival has announced new acts to this year’s lineup. Joining already confirmed bands such as Alt-J and Biffy Clyro are the likes of the excellent Hot Chip and Crystal Fighters.

Also announced as new additions to the Norway-based festival are Seasick Steve, Truls and Chad Valley. The 24-hour daylight makes the hilltop stage in the fjörds of Tønsberg even more spectacular.

Lesser known fact: Seasick Steve moved to Norway in 2000 with his wife (who’s from the country). Of Slottsfjell festival, he says: "I haven't done a show in Norway for many years...so I was real surprised when Slottsfjell asked me. I'm happy to play, and we gonna come there and rock! It's all good!"

Slottsfjell festival takes place July 18-20 in Norway. Day tickets are available from their website (warning: it’s in Norweigan, but that’s what Google Translate is for, right?).
