It's been four years since Smashing Pumpkins released their last studio album, Monuments to an Elegy, which can hardly be considered a proper SP release since it only featured Billy Corgan.

However, fans rejoice: according to a recent Instagram post by Corgan himself, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin have joined the frontman in the studio to record what has long been rumoured to be a reunion album. One extra reason to be excited? Rick Rubin is producing it.
