Yesterday Sonic Youth guitarist Lee Ranaldo dropped by BBC Radio 5 Live, discussing the band's upcoming plans and offering more insight into future projects. Ranaldo suggested that a host of demos left over from their 1985 sessions, around the time fourth album Sister was recorded, were never used. He stated that a re-packaged Sister album would possibly be released. In addition to that a recorded concert from 1985 is coming "in the next couple of months."

Ranaldo went on to say: "We've got a tour movie we filmed back in ’86 on a U.S. tour for Sister that never saw the light of day, so we're kind of finishing up the editing on that." As for the band's future the following comment was made: "It's impossible to say what the future holds." [via FactMag]
