Emails! Leaked! From Sony!

Yes, in the ongoing cyber-assault against Sony – in some ways potentially orchestrated by North Korea (upset by a film, The Interview, depicting the isolated nation) who, when asked of their involvement said, "wait and see." – some emails have been leaked. Amongst them are lots of juicy details, like a Destiny's Child biopic perhaps scheduled for February 2015, but one stands out more than others – both in its largeness and legitmacy – and that is a Kanye West-created film.

What it's about, who's in it, etc. – we don't know. But the email from Kanye's creative director Elon Rutberg to Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment (dated 4th August 2014), says this:

"I supervise all of Kanye's film and media projects, and we have a major film project coming up that involves both cinematic and technological innovation, so I naturally thought Sony and wanted to reach out. We premiered a multi-screen cinema experience [pictured at top] to great response at Cannes 2012, and are looking to take the storytelling to the next level with a feature length film, shot for an immersive cinema experience."

How exciting! And to top it all off, on the sillier side of things there is this:

"We'll have an XMAS tease for 2015. We have a specific idea to attach to THE INTERVIEW that will crush. Seth, Joe [Gordon-Levitt], and [Anthony] Mackie reenacting the scene from BIG on the floor piano at FAO Schwartz with KANYE WEST. It's fucking awesome."

So there you go.

Did you see… last week when Kanye rapped at Seth Rogen for two hours?
