Within a few hours of Whitney Houston's death, Sony increased the price of her Greatest Hits Collection, claiming that the price change had noting to do with her death, but more the fact that price wrong to begin with.

The wholesale price change meant that the album jumped from being £4.99 to £7.99 on iTunes.

This obviously led to an outcry on Twitter, which meant Sony were forced to put the price back, despite the fact that they didn't sondier the original price jump as being cynical. [via DS]
