An anonymous source recently leaked to Sony Alpha Rumours that the latest cameras from Sony will be able to act as lenses for smartphones.

Dubbed the "Smart Shot", they're a hybrid of smart-phone and cybershot technology, allowing phones to connect to their lenses wirelessly, giving users a de-facto ultra high quality lens.

The Smart Shot can also be used as a stand alone camera, and whether they're paired to your smartphone, or used on their own, boast image stabilisation, video recording in 1080/30p and will perform well, with low noise, even in low light.

The starting price is rumoured to be around the $250 mark, but there's still yet to be any concrete info released about the camera, its functions or its price.
