Update: QT have unveiled the full version of 'Hey QT', which you stream below (along with a statement about the project). The release comes courtesy of XL Recordings (buy it here).

"So what, or who, is QT? She's a sparkling future pop sensation - albeit one who is set to warp and stretch the notion of what a pop star actually is. It's a drink, or more precisely a brand new Energy Elixir ("where organic and synthetic meet to stimulate an uplifting club sensation"). And it's a song, a moment - "Hey QT" - which sees these two producers pushing their sound to its very extreme and creating a future anthem in the process."

Original Story

Making headway of the ultra-alluring work from Sophie can prove difficult, given his anonymity. After debuting 'Lemonade' and 'Hard', Sophie appeared as one half of DJ duo QT (with A.G. Cook) for the Boiler Room last Friday.

During the set, Sophie was replaced by an apparent drag queen to debut the brand new nine minute cut of ultra cryptic candy gloss painted avant electro, aptly titled 'Hey QT'. Several touches from the aforementioned 'Lemonade' and 'Hard', notably that squishing liquid sample and high-pitch vocal lift, can be found on 'Hey QT'. The official start time, however, comes in at 4:40.

Listen to the live track below and look out for new work from QT, coming soon via XL Recordings.
