Soundgarden have confirmed they'll be returning with a new album this November.

The band's first album in over 16 years hasn't got a title yet, but will be released on November 12th in the UK, and in the states the following day.

We're not entirely sure how the album will turn out, but it seems Billy Corgan has a theory on why they're releasing a new album...

"When Soundgarden came back and they just played their old songs, great. I was a fan of Soundgarden, but call it for what it is. They’re just out there to have one more round at the till."

First funny response to that quote wins a prize.
