Ray BLK is real. Strikingly real. And we love it. Previous single '50/50' was a strong statement of intent for the rising singer-songwriter; a statement that continues with the release of her latest single 'My Hood', which sees her reflecting on her life thus far in South London, with various observations regarding her hood.

Produced by Courage, fellow South Londoner Stormzy adds his two cents, offering another side to the story. "It's a bittersweet song about home," Ray told The FADER. "South east is one of the roughest places in London but it rears the strongest people, and that's what makes us special. The song wouldn't be complete if Stormzy wasn't on it. We're from the same place. He embodies what the song is about, he's a figure who's blossomed from a hard place..."

BLK is currently putting the finishing touches to her new project entitled Everybody Loves Ray, which is set for release later this year. In the meantime, 'My Hood' is available now on iTunes and all the usual platforms. Following her sold-out debut headline show in April, Ray is also set to support Katy B at London's O2 Academy Brixton on May 14.
