Having won over a legion of fans with their debut album This Is Not The End way back at the start of the year, Spielbergs are doubling down with a new EP. It's called Running All The Way Home, features brand new songs aside album outtakes, and will be out on October 25th through By The Time It Gets Dark.

One of the brand new songs is the title track, which they have shared this week. They say: “Running All The Way Home is a song about regret. You can’t undo what you’ve done. You can apologise to the people you’ve hurt all you want, you can promise to do better in the future, but it will not fix things. You will just have to wait it out and see what happens.”

Not straying too far from the seasick power-punk of the album, 'Running All The Way Home' immediately ingratiates itself with legions of downcast listeners when they announce in the first line "I've been feeling so worthless." From there, Spielbergs take the track on a tumbling yet robust run through feelings of dejection of regret, which builds up into a powerful bluster in the chorus. You can tell the song was inspired by their recent stretch of live dates as they show new levels of cunning in their use of loud-quiet dynamics, which is sure to be devastating live, especially as they up the energy to a whole new level in the excoriating final segment.
