Producer/rapper Spoek and soldier-turned-fashion designer Shamon are collaborating on a new mixtape, Wave Crusher. The first sampling we have of that mixtape breaks on the shore in the form of a reimagination of Charli XCX's song 'Nuclear Seasons', titled 'The Atom Strikes' which you can stream and download below.

The duo describe Wave Crusher as "their love letter to the original adventurous spirit of rap and hip-hop", and they sample everyone from The Pixies to Flume and Peter Tosh to create a truly unique sound. It'll be available as a free download on 25th October here. When you download the mixtape, you'll also get accompanying comic art from New Orleans based illustrator Otto Splotch. Spoek has a few headlining dates coming up, too, and you can take a look at those below the track.

  • 25th Oct - Biko, Milan
  • 26th Oct - Gaite Lyrique, Paris
  • 18th Nov - XOYO, London
