London outfit Stats kick off 2019 with ‘Lose It’, a track that contains echoes of New Year’s Eve. It’s lifted from their anticipated debut album Other People’s Lives, which is released through Memphis Industries on February 15. This latest offering is both skittish and euphoric, frontman Ed Seed’s vocal remaining unchanged in a similar deliverance to James Murphy whilst the track moves and contorts.

There are musings from the frontman about personal security and work habits over jubilant synth and jumbled beats. Its melodic crescendo of “I want to lose it completely” feels celebratory as opposed to deeply concerning thanks to a heavy electro leaning. Produced in London’s prestigious RAK Studios, the band’s debut LP is hotly anticipated after receiving glowing praise from the likes of 6Music, i-D, Q Magazine and more.
