Two years after the release of Mirror Traffic, Stephen Malkmus will be rejoining The Jicks for the band's sixth official studio album.

Malkmus produced the new record in Amsterdam with his longtime production collaborator Remko Schouten. The album, titled Wig Out At Jagbags (which Malkmus explains is a Chicago term for "jack-off" or "blowhard"), will also feature the band's new drummer Jake Morris. Morris replaces Quasi-member Janet Weiss.

The Stockton, California native—who now resides permanently in Berlin—mentioned in an interview with Pitchfork that there were several alternative titles to Wig Out At Jagbags, including: New Lifeboat Rules, Morrissey's Trainwrecked Daughter, New Yoga for Cleavage Hounds, Swingers Blowing Freddie, and Chocolate Euros.
