Steve Gunn has released a new song and video called 'Vagabond'; it's the third new track to be aired from his forthcoming album The Unseen In Between, due out on January 18th.

'Vagabond' continues the graceful lilt and picturesque stylings of previous tracks 'New Moon' and 'Stonehurst Cowboy', although this time Gunn is allowing his abilities as a writer of fiction take flight. Throughout the beautifully buffeting alt-country track he picks out a few colourful characters seen along his travels, from Mona who “camped out in a graveyard” to Jean-Pierre who “came from the road, his artwork remains unsold.” It's all wrapped up in the Gunn's verbal wit and acoustic warmth, adorned with harmonies provided by Meg Baird, resulting in an utterly charming piece.

'Vagabond' also arrives with a video directed by Jason Evans and featuring graphics by Steven Powers. Have a watch and listen below.
