After releasing their debut EP Annunciation at the end of last year, Strange Boy have now followed up with the impressively DIY new video for the lead single ‘Corbusier’. It was directed by Theo Davies (Kero Kero Bonito) and successfully emphasizes the darker tones of the track - being inspired to create something incredible from nothing turning into obsession.

In the video a girl from a quiet and bleak seaside town becomes obsessed with leaving her reality behind. She creates an oasis for herself in a forest and builds a huge tower made of trees and logs. The tower becomes something which hypnotises her and drives her mad. At the end she decides once and for all to leave, climbing the tower as far as it will go.

The video was shot on film over three days in Snowdonia and involved building a 25 foot tower of branches which the band and crew built themselves. Watch it below.

Recorded on the outskirts of Paris by Jonathan Lefèvre-Reich and mastered by Icelandic composer Valgeir Sigurðsson, the Annunciation EP is both accomplished and brimming with potential, marking them as one of the most interesting and relevant acts coming through the UK currently. Kieran Brunt is also set to appear as vocalist and composer on the new Nils Frahmrecord All Melody.

The band’s next London show is at The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington on 30th January and is free entry.
