The new song from Violet Skies has a few conditions: it's best listened to loud (trust me on this), with good friends, and on good speakers. It starts out pretty quietly - I had to make sure my speakers were turned all the way out - but once it kicks in, it's one hell of a track that just doesn't stop. She hails from South Wales and brings together a wide array of influences including Sting, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Massive Attack, and James Blake. If you listen closely you can hear elements of all of those artists and more pairing her gorgeous voice with dark, minimalist electronic beats.

'Dragons' is from her forthcoming EP of the same name, which drops on 22 June and can be pre-ordered here. She'll be playing the Camden Crawl on 20 June.
