We've been introduced to quite a few new artists in the first month of 2016... and that shows no signs of slowing down. Introducing 24-year-old Betsy, who comes to us from "the middle-of-nowhere" in Wales where her parents run a Goose farm. After appearing on Joe Goddard's 'Endless Love' a few years back (a song she originally demo'd with intentions of featuring someone else), Betsy was snapped up by Columbia Records in the US and Warner Music in the UK. She moved to London, originally to study Fashion Design at the prestigious Central St. Martin's before being invited to design catwalk for Balenciaga in Paris. She soon quit her job to focus on her musical dreams and returned to Wales and ended up in "a grotty caravan in her brother's garden" where she worked on her music.

'Fair' is one of the early results of her many home recording sessions and is described as "an unflinchingly raw confession to feeling suffocated in a failing relationship." With big, booming vocals, delicate strings and a carefully crafted fusion of soulful, gospel melodies and modern electronics, Betsy looks certain to raise eyebrows and open ears throughout 2016. Look out for her debut EP arriving soon.
