They say life happens in seven-year cycles, and if in the case of Canadian indie rockers Broken Social Scene, it certainly seems that way.

Following the release of their fourth studio album Forgiveness Rock Record in 2010, the band took a break from performing and only returned in 2013. Earlier this year, they unveiled the first single from the fifth LP: 'Halfway Home' did the honours of introducing the world to Hug of Thunder, which is due out this Friday July 7th via Arts & Crafts.

After dropping 'Skyline', 'Stay Happy', and the album's title-track, Broken Social Scene have now made Hug of Thunder available to stream in full ahead of its release. You can check it out over at NPR.
