As Chance The Rapper's brother, 19-year-old Taylor Bennett is probably always going to be compared in some way to his older brother. But with Broad Shoulders, Taylor's debut full-length album, he's stepping out in his own light and in his own lane.

The 10-track collection, executive-produced by Tay Bennett Entertainment and UPNORTH Music and co-executive-produced by Joseph Cabey, Broad Shoulders is Taylor's first sample-free collection of music. Speaking to Rolling Stone, he revealed that this was for practical reasons; being an independent artist, he wanted to bypass the legal issues with selling music containing samples of other people's work.

The album's sounds was inspired by producer Ludlow's Detroit upbringing, particularly the city's soul, funk and electronica scenes. There's also appearances from King Louie, the Social Experiment's Donnie Trumpet, Chance The Rapper and more.
