The third and final installment in the "loose" trilogy from singer-songwriter Damien Jurado officially arrives March 18th. But before the debut, NPR is giving fans a chance to journey through Jurado's 17-track epic finale.

The distant, adoring effort from Jurado closes out the aesthetic theme of his 2012 album Maraqopa - the first in the trilogy. As Jason Heller explains, "After a car crash sends the trilogy's unnamed protagonist on some hazy kind of metaphysical odyssey, he's arrived at a state of existential bemusement, searching his psyche for answers. It's a heady concept, for sure, but one that Jurado anchors in gorgeous songwriting and lush, layered indie-folk arrangements."
