19-year-old, London-based singer-songwriter Dua Lipa has unveiled her debut single 'New Love', which is surely a contender for the strongest debut of 2015.

Produced by Emile Hayne, who has previously worked with the likes of Lana Del Rey and FKA twigs (Lipa coincidently shares the same management team as Del Rey) and Andrew Wyatt, the production is drum heavy with its delivery, with a strangely haunting undertone. Fortunately, the production doesn't overpower Lipa's vocals, which are the star of the show, particularly in the chorus. Speaking to The FADER, who premiered the track, she acknowledged that it might sound like "another" song of unrequited love, but she has another version of the story. "At the time I was writing this song it was about finding my place in an industry that often seems to neither want nor need you. This is a song about facing the fear of losing he only thing that matters to you."

'New Love' is available now on iTunes.
