The Kendrick Lamar verse that opens 'It's On Again' might be a little more intense than you were expecting from a song on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 soundtrack. His voice sounds fucking filthy, and a little like he spent as little time in the studio as Krusty the Clown.

The rest of the track is fine, it's a nice uptempo Alicia Keys song, elevated by Pharrell's lively, multi-tracked production, but it really peaks in those opening 30 seconds, and it leaves you waiting for a reprise that never comes.

New Pharrell material is all over the full soundtrack, he is the man that turned Despicable Me 2 into a multi Academy Award-nominated film afterall. But it remains to be seen whether any of them will be as good as the classic superhero power-ballads of Seal, and Chad Kroeger and that other guy.
