East London-based rap duo PBGR (an acronym for 'Play Broke, Get Rich) have been raising eyebrows and causing their own whirlwind with solid releases and impressive live performances for quite some time. Their self-released debut project, The Black Market, earned considerable praise for its unique ability to touch on US reference points while managing to remain quintessentially British.

Their first project for 2016 is the 4RE PLAY EP, which looks set to continue on the foundations laid out on The Black Market. Treading lightly between the realms of hip-hop and R&B, the six-track collection - which was created in just a week - includes appearances from Kieran Alleyne, Miraa May and other PBGR collective members, some of which are also expected to release further material throughout the year. If this is just a taster of things to come, 2016 is bound to be another stellar year for PBGR.
