We haven't heard from one woman powerhouse Rebecca Clements in a little while after she shared 'Love Child', 'Wildlife', and 'Coma Boy', but she's been hard at work making new tunes for us all to sink our teeth into, and now she's shared the fruits of her labor today with 'Pure Wasted'. While the previous three tracks were all soft and calming, dripping with emotional vulnerability, 'Pure Wasted' finds Clements at her most rocking with a catchy guitar riff and relatable narrative.

“It’s about losing someone you're with to the strong stuff. Making a play on words of 'Pure Wasted', pulling together the idea of a pure substance and a pure love, both are equally as toxic. Essentially, it's a love song. But I wanted it to feel more than that, to tell a story rather than play the victim.”

'Pure Wasted' is the title track from her new EP which she recorded alongside Iain Archer (Jake Bugg, Bat for Lashes) on production duties.
