Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, comes the bedroom project of Jonathan Schultz, aka Schultz & Forever. His new EP, Broadcast Dynamics, is out next week (October 21st) but we have it right here for you to stream in full. We also had a quick chat with him about the release, what inspires him, and Penelope Cruz. Check it out below.

Where do you find inspiration?

My source of inspiration varies a lot. Occasionally I get inspired from my own emotions and experiences and I get better and better at this. I get more aware of my feelings. Sometimes I have a very clear understanding about who I am and then I automatically feel an urge to write it down. Books help me to express it lyrically, particularly if I can relate with the author. Movies also have an inspirational impact on me.

What risk would you take if you knew you could not fail?

I would find Penelope Cruz, make her pregnant and raise a kid with her.

What's the most challenging thing you've ever created?

The child I created with P. Cruz (lol). I don't know to be honest. The EP was really challenging to make because of how much I wanted it to be good. I haven't created many things yet, but I want to make an album and I hope the process will be extremely exhausting, and challenging, so that I can really enjoy listening to it once it's finished.

What is something you believe that almost nobody agrees with you on?

I don't know.

Lastly, could you talk to us a bit about the Broadcast Dynamics EP and how it came about?

I started writing for my debut full length just after our tour in Europe. The songwriting was a reaction towards how anxious and depressed I was performing on stage, on that particular tour. I had to write something that I could honestly be satisfied with, in order to feel better. I met up with Mads Brinch, the producer, and he kind of became a hero to me. We talked a lot about how we wanted the EP to be and we agreed on nearly everything. When we started recording everything made sense and I picked up a new band and it all just went perfectly.
