If you're in the habit of checking what new things France has to offer music-wise through our beloved column Bonjour Motherfuckers then you're already familiar with household chéris TH Da Freak. After a very prolific 2018 which saw them release an excellent full-length (The Hood) plus two B-sides EPs, the project of Bordeaux-based Thoineau Palis is back with a brand new album Freakenstein: the LP is due out on March 8th via Howlin Banana Records but we proudly bring you its premiere today here at The 405.

Preceded by lead single 'Peeling The Onion', the release is a carefully maturated collection of ten tracks written over the past three years, recorded and mixed for the very first time by the band that has accompanied Palis since the great adventure began. A deliciously cohesive ensemble of tunes reminiscent of early 90s lo-fi and fuzzy Californian garage, Freakenstein further consolidates TH Da Freak's place within contemporary French indie by showcasing a perfect mix of teenage recklessness and professional competence.
